Norths Bowlo gets a make-over Husband and wife team, Lilly and Nathan Fasan (previously from The Grounds of Alexandria) have rejuvenated something old and brought it back to life. We’re talking about the Norths Bowlo on Ridge Street. The Bowlo has been reborn as a beautiful, breezy garden bar with draw droppingly good views. There’s palm trees, light open spaces and vintage photographs adorning the walls. The once grim pub is now an urban oasis. On a nice day, the rustic garden is the perfect place to perch and relax. Complete with recycled brick and mismatched tables. The menu focuses on sharing with small share plates, substantial salads, meat dishes and sides all part of the mix. Bar Manager Matt Le Rade has had a bit of fun with the cocktail list, and the exclusive coffee blend is supplied by Marricville’s Double Roasters. Pop down for the food, the view, the drinks, a game of bowls - or all of the above. Best dish: Oxtail croquettes with sweet pimento dipping sauce
